What's New in Copilot CLI (v1.0.15–v1.0.17, March 31–April 3, 2026)

The following beginner-relevant features were released in the past 7 days and are now reflected in the course:

New Features Found

  1. Built-in skills ship with the CLI (v1.0.17) — The CLI now includes skills pre-installed, starting with a guide for customizing the Copilot cloud agent environment (customizing-copilot-cloud-agents-environment).

  2. /share html command (v1.0.15) — Sessions and research reports can now be exported as self-contained interactive HTML files, in addition to markdown files and GitHub gists.

  3. /mcp auth command (v1.0.15) — New command for authenticating or re-authenticating MCP servers that use OAuth.

  4. /mcp reload command (v1.0.16) — MCP server configuration can now be reloaded without restarting Copilot.
