In this example, unlike window.alert(rangeObj) that outputs the text, console.log(rangeObj) shows the actual range object. For console.log() to show the range text, an explicit conversion must be done:

• console.log(rangeObj + '') or;
• console.log(rangeObj.toString()) or;
• console.log(String(rangeObj))
