Remove a Tool (or Resource or Prompt) during server runtime

Question

Hi everybody,

I am quite new to this mcp library (not to other libraries though) and still experimenting with it. Reading the user guide (https://modelcontextprotocol.io/docs/concepts/tools#tool-discovery-and-updates) I understand that "Tools can be added or removed during runtime". Nevertheless I just see methods to add tools to a server.

I am sorry if the question results too easy. Thanks for helping.

I had the same question for the typescript sdk and stumbled uppon this post. In the typescript sdk the registerResource() function resturns an object, which has an interface for lifecycle support, with methods like update() or remove() . Maybe its the same in python, havent checked
